Subject to fulfilling the eligibility criterias student can take both the GCET-MBA and GCET-MCA. Sylllabus is all most the same. Only difference is, there is no GD/PI in case of GCET-MCA. So with the same preparation you can take both the tests

5 What if join Crash Batch, once my final year exam is over? Top
First of all, the time available after the final year exam is very limited, say one to two months. At times, it even less than this in certain cases. Obviously then, you have to take more load in less time. At the same time you have less time to practice which can limit your chance of standing high in merit. Yet, if you have missed all the options of long term batches then you should definitely join crash batch else you may have to sacrifice one precious year.
6 With GCET preparation any other test can I appear?
Apart from GCET with same preparation you can take MAT, ATMA, CET (Maharashtra), SNAP, IBSAT, NMIMS, IGNOU & host of other tests.
7 Is it true that if I get ready for CAT then I am ready for GCET Top
Frankly speaking Answer is NO. As such the moment you get ready for CAT, hopefully you should be ready for 70% content of the GCET. But the level of CAT is so high and you just try and practice same kind of question so when you appear for GCET, you find the things as if you haven’t encountered.      As far as 30% of the syllabus is concerned, i.e. abstract reasoning, Nonverbal reasoning, GK and General Awareness etc which is not part of CAT. So if you are targeting GCET, you should  join programmed of GCET preparation only.

Difference of CAT and GCET is shown below.
