About AIEEE: To avoid the multiplicity of Entrance Exams and to solve the problems of overlaps and reduce physical, mental and financial burden on students and their parents, a Common Entrance Test for Engineering and Architecture was introduced in the year 2002 which is popularly referred as All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).Apart from NITs(National Institute of Technology) some deemed Universities & some states for their Govt. Seats offer admission on the basis of AIEEE performance.

No. Of seats: 110+ institutes offer admission on the basis of AIEEE performance for app. 12000+ seats.

Eligibility: The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent. The students who are appearing in the 12th are also eligible for test.

Age limit: Candidate appearing in AIEEE should not be completing 25 years on 30th September of the year in which he/she actually appears for AIEEE.

Language of the Test: The test is conducted in English & Hindi. The option has to be exercises while filling the application form. It can not be changed later.

Test Centres: AIEEE is conducted at 620+ centres located in 97+ cities across the nation. In Gujarat, it is conducted at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot & Surat.

Notification: Notification for AIEEE usually appears in the month of November/December.

About the Test: AIEEE comprises pure objective type questions carrying four options with single correct answer & equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. For each incorrect response on third of the mark assigned to the question is deducted. No penalty for unattempted questions. Subject wise details of the test papers are self explanatory from the following table.

Results: On the performance of the AIEEE, separate rank lists is prepared for BE/B. Tech and B. Arch/B planning. All the candidates are informed about their score. Result is also released on web aieee.nic.in

Syllabus:
The syllabus of AIEEE is from 11th & 12th standards roughly divided equally in 11th & 12th.
